Public Alpha is Live!

Well, it sure has been a while. To those of you who are discovering my project for the first time, welcome!

I have been developing Warfare for some months now as a side project and feel the game is in a presentable state, hence I am launching it.

Now, that's enough of an introduction. If you need to know more, check out the game's description.

Regarding updates. Warfare has seen countless additions since its previous humble release on this platform.

Allow me to overcome my crippling memory issues for a brief moment and share a summary of each update since V0.2:

V0.25 was a minor dev build that trialed and implemented some form of the Sniper enemy.

V0.3 saw the full implementation of the Sniper enemy, along with its unique building climbing ability. Additionally, Element teammates have been added in the form of basic Wooden Elements, which can be commanded to line up behind you by pressing 'Q'.

V0.4 was when things became more serious. First of all, Medic Elements had been added, which will heal any Elements (including you!) if they require a heal. V0.4 also featured the introduction of the shop, allowing you to purchase better weapons, such as the newly implemented Sniper Rifle.  Additionally, the shop offers upgrades to various stats such as max health and speed in exchange for money. The Corporate base has also been redesigned, with an announcement system that sprinkles a little lore into the game (there is no such thing as a "pill" ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ). Finally, V0.4 added melee attacks to certain weapons, and brought animations to all guns.

V0.5 is the latest release, and brought much needed fixes to the game, as well as a few innovative new features. To begin, all major, game breaking bugs have been addressed, and the game should now run smoothly for more than 5 seconds. Onto the fun stuff, the new Pinecone Grenade weapon allows you to lob explosives at Corporates, Elements, yourself, you name it! Adding on, a new Engineer class has been added to the Corporate team, which will periodically venture to the Element rainforest to lay mines that explode upon contact, and if you thought this new challenge wasn't enough, I have added a difficulty option in the settings menu, allowing for thrilling plays on harder difficulties where every movement matters! Finally, I have completed the decay system. Plants in Corporate territory will die and shed their leaves, and structures in Element territory will decay and sink into the mud.

In all, Warfare has progressed from a mere shooter to something much more, something that has impacted me on a personal level, and that can now impact you all as it has impacted me. Thank you for reading my waffle, and I truly hope you enjoy my game.

Sincerely,

-Saber.
